of course not, & there is definitely a good reason behind it, you shouldn’t just download other people’s pictures off of social media as it is an obstruction to other privacy and also against any existing social media platform. ( Instagram is no exception to this )

As you can see in the image above, all you have to do is simply choose the image that you want to download, then click on 3 dots adjacent to that image as shown in 2 and clicking on the “Download” button
You can get this option to download with a simple app for android known as “OGinsta+”. You can download the app from here.

Download the app from the link above or from here, Once the download is finished. Click on Install.
You might be prompted to allow “installing unknown apps from third parties”
Go ahead and click on “Allow”
Click on “Install”
Once installed you need to login to Instagram via the app using your username and password
you may also be required to allow downloading of images from the app to your storage
You can normally browse through Instagram and download images as you please.
