How to get Youtube Custom Url for your Youtube Channel

when we create a channel on YouTube, we will get a channel URL such as youtube.com/channel/UCWZ5yV5R9cAJDqjyhfhCafg by default.

Youtube also provides a URL such as youtube.com/c/yourusername. These URLs are known as Custom URLs.

Steps involved in creating your own custom channel URL

1. Click on Settings by clicking on your channel icon/profile picture

There are some eligibility criteria to get custom URL. To create a custom URL for your channel, your account needs to:

  • Be at least 30 days old
  • Have an uploaded photo as a channel icon
  • Have uploaded channel art

4. Choose/enter a name for your custom url

A popup will open up where in & YouTube suggests a custom URL for your channel and by default.

It is mostly like youtube.com/c/yourchannelname.

You can manually change your channel name by choosing second option or if you are ok with it then continue.

Which ever option you choose, you need to click on checkbox adjacent to agree to terms and conditions and then click on change URL

5. YouTube will ask to confirm your choice, Click on “Confirm”
